What the app stores

You can enter without a ChatGPT or Infinite Flight account. After your agreement, a random session cookie identifies this browser. Glidemetric stores a hash of that token, an internal session identifier, your chosen pilot preferences, saved local landing measurements, submitted flight references, and the version and time of your 18+ terms agreement. If you connect Infinite Flight, Glidemetric also stores your Infinite Flight account ID and display name so it can link your Glidemetric records across devices. Glidemetric does not store your Infinite Flight password or OAuth tokens. It does not collect your date of birth.

Leaderboard sharing

Joining the public leaderboard is optional. Before submitting, you must agree to display your linked Infinite Flight display name, aircraft, Connect-derived touchdown score, landing date and verified flight-match status publicly. Glidemetric stores the Connect score with your saved landing and the Infinite Flight pilot ID, flight ID and landing index needed to prevent duplicate submissions. The Live API touchdown statistics used for the check are held only in short-lived operational memory and are not stored in the database. Remove a result by clearing your saved landing data or contacting glidemetric@gmail.com.

Connections and providers

The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare services. Hosting providers receive network information needed to deliver and secure the service, including IP addresses. Their own privacy terms govern their services. The Glidemetric agreement is checked before its flight tools become available.

When enabled, the server requests Infinite Flight traffic and landing records. API responses are kept only in short-lived operational memory caches. Flight references are stored so Glidemetric can prevent duplicate submissions and link a Connect estimate to the correct pilot flight.

Local companion

The companion reads simulator telemetry over your local network. Pairing credentials stay in the browser tab and are sent only to the companion on your computer. Live position samples stay in the browser; completed local landing measurements are sent to your private browser session when saved. The companion does not control your simulator.

Tracking, fonts and messages

Glidemetric does not include advertising analytics, session replay, keystroke recording or marketing email. Fonts use your device's system fonts, with no request to Google Fonts. A necessary HttpOnly cookie keeps your session for 30 days. Your black/white theme and animation preferences are stored on your device. Links to outside guides open services with their own privacy practices.

Retention and removal

Browser sessions expire after 30 days. Expired session records and associated preferences, agreements, measurements and references are purged when the next new session is created. Clearing cookies may make records inaccessible before that cleanup. Settings lets you export saved local sessions, clear that logbook or delete all Glidemetric session data, including submitted references and your agreement. These controls remove records held by the app. Deleting these records does not delete your ChatGPT or Infinite Flight account. Provider security logs and backups are subject to the providers' retention policies.

This service is intended for adults 18 and over. Do not use it or submit personal information if you are under 18. An age self-declaration is not identity verification.
